About Us

Peace Lutheran Church
Living out God’s Good News in Barrett and beyond!

Established in 1972, Peace Lutheran is a merger of Our Savior’s and Fridhem Lutheran congregations. Groundbreaking for the church occurred on March 2, 1976 and its first service was held on Thanksgiving Day of the same year. Since Reverend Art Wickstrom’s first days as officiant, Peace has seen many changes to its leadership. One thing that has remained the same is the relationships that are like family between the worshippers at Peace.

We practice our faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, together through worship, relationships, learning, and service. We value God’s children of all ages and seek to be a welcoming community for all people.

As members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we affirm the statements of faith and are guided by its principles on certain social issues.
